Machine Shop Rates:

Standard machine shop rate starts at $99.00 per hour for basic stock engines.

Custom machine shop rate is $149 per hour (for instance, fly cut performance pistons, custom fit, or custom fit cam bearings). Example: any performance engines whether small horsepower, 300HP, 400HP, 500HP and up, etc. is considered custom engine work.

For example, tear down of any engine time basis is $149.00 minimum per hour, taking pictures and logging pictures in the system is $149.00 per hour, moving pictures to DVD storage in the computer, any extra time involved during inspection of teardown is all by the hour, no exceptions.

A good example is how we tore down a 427 Corvette engine. The customer wanted to keep all the original parts. This involved more time in categorizing all the original parts so that he received pictures and detailed information of what he dropped off.

This does not include any machine work performed, does not include time on paperwork, does not include cleaning the block, going through the burn process and then cleaning the block through the shot abraiding process, glass beading, and then jet vatting whether it's heads, block, miscellaneous parts, etc. All of this operation is extra cost.

If any stop work or cancellation is requested by the customer, or stop work is ordered by us, there will be fees involved. No exceptions.
